Yellowknife Land Surveyor
In 2018, Sub-Arctic Surveys Ltd. joined forces with Challenger Geomatics Ltd. Sub-Arctic has been a leading, professional survey firm since 1992 with headquarters in Yellowknife and a seasonal field office in Iqaluit.
This builds on Challenger’s already extensive northern credentials, and positions Challenger / Sub-Arctic as the surveyor of choice for survey, mapping and geomatics services across Canada’s North.
Since its inception, Sub-Arctic also holds the distinction of having been involved in the exploration and construction of every diamond mine in the north, and of having prepared approximately one-third of all Plans of Survey registered in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
Challenger has indigenous partnerships in the Northwest Territories, forming Inukshuk and Sahtu Geomatics, which are jointly owned with Inuvialuit Development Corporation and Mackay Range Development Corporation respectively.
Challenger’s Yellowknife location has worked on housing developments, resource exploration and infrastructure projects. Our team specializes in a wide range of surveying, mapping, and geomatics services including:
- Legal Surveys
- Construction Surveys
- Road and Bridge Projects
- Land Claims
- Real Property Reports
- Bathymetry
- Mine Surveys

Challenger is a proud member of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut Association of Professional Engineers and Geologists (NAPEG).
