Some of the state-of-the-art equipment and surveying technologies we deploy to serve our clients include:
We provide a range of survey services to support major pipeline planning approvals, construction and also environment and integrity dig programs.
Our team has developed a range of custom programs to support our midstream clients.
We use a range of survey methods to identify those locations of interest for your pipeline project. Our field crews can also access all types of historical data provided by our custom integrity database to access useful information in the field.
Challenger is an industry leader in the use of 3D Laser Scanning & Modeling Technology to create accurate as-built surveys.
The point data from laser scanning allows for highly accurate rendering of structures and facilities, both interiors and exteriors. Scanners are able to capture 1 million points per second. Once the data is processed, 3D point cloud models provide realistic clarity that can be digitally accessed from anywhere.
This is valuable for a broad range of applications including site surveys, topographic surveys, BIM projects, underground mapping, remote measurements, volume calculations, deformation monitoring, and as-builts to support ongoing site development.
Challenger currently operates both fixed-wing and quadcopter drones to provide a wide array of remote sensing support for our clients, all backed by our highly experienced in-house photogrammetry department and certified by Licensed Professional Surveyors and Geomatics Engineers.
Our UAV survey technology can deliver quick and inexpensive high-resolution aerial photographs, aerial triangulation and orthomosaic, Digital Surface Model (DSM) point clouds, Digital Elevation Model (DEM) contours, site reports, and volume calculations for our clients. It is also ideal for use in remote or difficult terrain, and for dynamic and rapidly changing sites.
Challenger has full capability in all aspects of aerial mapping/photography and photogrammetry. Challenger has three full softcopy workstations and the ability to source satellite images for data extraction and orthophoto production.
Challenger is one of the only survey companies with an in-house photogrammetry department. We are able to produce orthophotos for resource developments, linear developments, land claim surveys, site surveys, urban GIS along with feature identification for comprehensive developments. Orthophotos can be developed from project-specific aerial photos or prepared using existing aerial photos.
