Recent advancements have led to increased speed, accuracy, and improved detail along with new applications for spatial data. To support our clients, Challenger utilizes modern surveying equipment from leading manufacturers and advanced software.
We are constantly investing in upgraded survey equipment, and evaluating new technology to better meet the evolving needs of our clients.
At Challenger, our goal is to provide efficient solutions to surpass our clients’ expectations. Not only do we deploy the latest technology – we regularly develop new and customized solutions for our clients.
Includes state-of-the-art equipment:
We provide a range of services and custom programs to support pipeline planning, construction and operations.
Our staff has been offering survey support to the energy sector for a long time and has access to all types of data through internal databases.
Challenger is an industry leader in the use of 3D Laser Scanning & Modeling and is able to deploy this technology in a variety of ways.
Laser Scanning has become the standard for many types of survey projects. Its high accuracy and speed (captures 1 million points per second) make it ideal for busy job sites. It also allows us to capture data where it is difficult or dangerous for a person to access.
This is valuable for topographic surveys, volume or area measurements, deformation monitoring, and as-builts. Plus, with BIM and remote work becoming more common, these highly accurate point clouds help to keep dispersed teams on the same page.
Challenger currently operates both fixed-wing and quadcopter drones to provide aerial mapping for our clients, all backed by licensed professional surveyors and technical staff.
Our UAV survey technology can help with inspections and deliver quick and inexpensive high-resolution aerial imagery and LiDAR solutions. Our pilots are licensed by Transport Canada.
Challenger has full capability in all aspects of aerial mapping and photogrammetry. Imagery from UAVs, satellites and aircraft can be processed into mosaics, orthophotos, and other deliverables.
As we are one of the only survey companies with an in-house photogrammetry department, we are able to quickly turn around mapping products. We can also integrate these into your existing GIS workflows or with our own customized GIS platform.
