- Why Challenger
Challenger provides surveys using terrestrial and aerial LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) as well as other remote sensing technology. LiDAR can penetrate surface terrain which is why data is also used in a number of mapping applications.
LiDAR is also an effective method for capturing other types of spatial data. The area being captured can be an entire community or a single room. This means that buildings, industrial facilities, well sites, and even entire cities can be mapped with LiDAR, which can then be used in a myriad of ways.
We use specialized software to generate higher-density point clouds, 3D models, and other deliverables. LiDAR even has applications in heritage preservation and the entertainment industry. Some LiDAR services include:
Challenger also uses LiDAR as part of our desktop scouting tool to assist with route planning and pad design.
