Project Summary
Challenger is a leading land surveyor in the industrial construction industry and the North West Redwater (NWR) Sturgeon Refinery in Alberta’s Industrial Heartland was an important strategic project expanding capacity. The site was located about 45km northeast of Edmonton and the new Sturgeon Refinery was the first refinery to be built in more than 30 years. Challenger provided surveying and mapping services to support the construction of off-lease facilities and other infrastructure needed for the operation of the new refinery.

- Spatial location of all in infrastructure and off lease facilities for construction of the new refinery.
- Survey layout for the construction of tank farm, utilities, and gasifier.
- Final as-builts upon completion of the project.
