Interview Process

Challenger uses Behavior Based Interviewing methods to interview candidates. We will have a panel of two to three team members who will meet with the candidates. Depending on the role, location and timeliness, we may host our meeting with you via telephone, web cam interview or through a traditional in-person interview. The time frame for interviews will range between 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the type of position.

Behavior Based interviews are designed to focus on previous school or work related experience that will allow the candidate to demonstrate their specific abilities. In behavioral interviews, the candidate will be asked competency based questions and will be asked to share examples of how the skill has been demonstrated in the past in a similar situation.

The interview process is designed to be a two way street, each candidate will be invited to ask questions. Following an interview candidates can expect to supply a copy of job related references.

Interview Tips

When answering behavior based interview questions, remember the following:

  • Give a complete story of the situation. Remember to highlight key points and detail the impact and the result of the situation.
  • Be specific about how you dealt with the situation and any of actions that you took.
  • Use "I" examples more that "We" examples.
  • Ask for clarification if you are unsure of the question.
